MCPS Back to School Fair

All MCPS students and their families are invited to attend this informative and fun event to learn about the curriculum and school system programs and services.
We anticipate that dozens of nonprofit organizations, businesses and government agencies will join the school system to provide information, resources, health screenings, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
New Student Orientation
New Parent Orientation
Thursday August 29th
8:15 AM to 11:30 PM
All incoming 6th grade students and NEW 7th and 8th grade students should attend.
School buses will run on regular routes, so students who will be riding a bus should plan to do so for orientation.
Thursday August 29th
5:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Open to all incoming 6th grade parents and 7th/8th grade parents new to Kingsview MS.
First day of School
Tuesday September 3, 2019
School starts at 8:15 AM

Students should be dropped off no earlier than 7:50 a.m. and no later than 8:05 a.m. Staff members are not available before 7:50 a.m. to supervise students.

Students only need to bring pens, pencils, and their binder with loose-leaf paper or a spiral notebook in a small backpack. If preferred, students can pack lunch from home.

Students should NOT bring all their school supplies to school on this day. Students will be getting their lockers later in the week so students will have to carry whatever they bring with them all day.

Students will be given a packet with important forms for parents to complete and return to school.
